The Commando Welfare Trust is proud to welcome Dallas Hodgetts as our newest Ambassador.
With a distinguished 15-year career in the Australian Defence Force, including seven years in Special Operations Command, Dallas brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by our Special Forces veterans, serving members and their families.
During his service, Dallas deployed to Afghanistan and Timor Leste, participated in border protection operations in Northern Australia, and served with distinction on the Tactical Assault Group (East). His operational experience gives him firsthand insight into the hardships and sacrifices endured by our Special Forces, making him an ideal advocate for our beneficiaries.
Since transitioning from the ADF, Dallas has become a passionate voice for veterans. He has contributed to discussions at the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade, and the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. His advocacy is driven by a commitment to ensuring those who have served receive the best support, care, and opportunities as they transition into civilian life.
Currently based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, Dallas is the Principal Veteran Engagement at Roy Hill, a world-class mining operation, where he supports the careers of over 200 veterans. He works closely with industry leaders to promote veteran employment and business initiatives across the resource sector.
Having served in the 2nd Commando Regiment, Dallas is eager to leverage his experience and network to support our community. His dedication and advocacy make him a valuable addition to our Ambassador team.
We look forward to working together to further the mission of the Commando Welfare Trust.
Welcome, Dallas!
