Bataan Death March Fundraiser
On the 21st March 2026, Australian veteran Daniel Natura is taking on the brutal Bataan Memorial Death March in New Mexico to raise funds for the Commando Welfare Trust (CWT).
The event is a living tribute to the 75,000 POWs who endured the original Bataan Death March in 1942.
The Challenge
- Distance: 26.2 miles (42km) across desert terrain
- Elevation: 4,100–5,300 feet above sea level
- Conditions: heat up to (30°C, freezing lows, and winds up to 80kmh
- Duration: 3–14 hours to finish – average is 8 hours
It is a punishing test of endurance — rugged trails, blistering temperatures, and relentless desert winds — demanding grit, resilience, and strength.
The Cause
Daniel’s march honours the fallen of Bataan while raising funds to provide emergency and long-term financial support to Australian Special Forces soldiers, veterans and family members where the system cannot.
Donate today to back Daniel’s mission to support a community of Australians who have made significant sacrifices for our country.
