Father’s Day can be a challenging time for Special Forces families. For some, it is a day marked not by celebration but by absence — either because their father never came home or because he lives with permanent injuries sustained in the service of our nation.
This day is a reminder of the sacrifices borne not only by the men who serve but also by their families, who carry the weight of that service every day. It is an opportunity for all Australians to pause, honour their courage, and recommit to standing beside them.
For this reason, the Commando Welfare Trust is running a Father’s Day competition to raise funds to provide on going support for Special Forces Soldiers, Veterans and Families.
Competition Details
By signing up for a $10/month recurring donation, you’ll go into the draw to win a
Father’s Day Prize Pack:
- Six bottles of 2nd Commando Regiment Wine – The Operator (only 200 bottles remain from 500 produced)

Your monthly support ensures we can continue helping the families of our Special Forces soldiers —
especially those who have lost their fathers or live with the impact of permanent injury.
- Entries close: 11:59pm, Sunday 7 September 2025
- Prize drawn: Monday 8 September 2025
- Eligibility: Must be 18+ to claim the prize.
