Australian Veterans' Children Assistance Trust
The Commando Welfare Trust has partnered with the Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust to co-fund scholarships for the tertiary education of two children of former Special Forces veterans, which we will continue on an ongoing basis.
We are proud to work with an organisation that has awarded 3000-plus scholarships with an 82% completion rate. Their work is critical to breaking down the cycle of disadvantage experienced by military families.
The following qualifications available under this program include:
- Planning to enrol or enrol in a tertiary course of study for one or more academic years at a university, TAFE or a registered training organisation in Australia.
- Be studying or planning to study full-time, online or face-to-face.
- Be a child or a grandchild of an ex-serving veteran.
- The veteran must be an Australian ex-serving veteran with operational service including eligible war service, war-like service and peacekeeping/peacemaking service OR 3 or more continuous years of full-time other service, as a member of the Australian Navy, Army or Air Force.
